Because my office is kind of in the middle of nowhere, it makes it really hard to leave for lunch. By the time you find parking you've basically used up your entire lunch break already.
So when we do venture out, it always feels slightly naughty and very special.
Today we went to Chambers Walk in Lawrenceville, NJ.
They have the efficient lunch thing down pat.
You walk in the door. Order and pay at the front counter. Then find a seat in the very cozy exposed-brick dining area. A waiter brings out your drinks and food and voila, you eat and go on your way whenever you need to.
I'm very grateful that I selected the PERFECT fall lunch.
Pumpkin Ravioli with roasted butternut sqaushin a garlic brown butter sauce topped with pecorino romano cheese.
It was absolutely incredible. Tender, sweet little morsels of squash, delicate ravioli plump with the perfectly prepared pumpkin filling. All balanced by the mild garlic, brown butter sauce and a healthy portion of grated cheese.
It was magnificent.
