[I'm pretty sure I just made The Perfect Cookie. Perfect size. Perfect amount of doneness. Perfect proliferation of chocolate chips. Wish you could taste one!]

Say Something Nice

A megaphone set up in public places in NYC encouraging people to "Say something nice."

Smile

If this doesn't make you smile/tear up/or dance in your seat, I just don't know what to tell you...

holy crappers

So....
the outfits are wildy inappropriate for 8 year olds
the pelvic thrusting is even MORE inappropriate for 8 year olds
their ENTHUSIASM for said thrusting is disturbing
they have really chic hair
and goddamn they ARE FREAKING GOOD AS HELL!
why are these 8 year olds whipping out triple pirouettes and fouettes a la second like its NOTHING.

Three Auroras

The NYC Ballet behind-the-scenes videos just get better and better.
Here, Tiler Peck, Ashley Bouder and Kathryn Morgan discuss performing in The Sleeping Beauty.
I think I'd rather watch rehearsals over performances any day.

Surprised Kitten

This is so cute I can't even take it.
I don't even know how it can be real.
Is it real?

Just Dance

Hot damn.

This girl is freaking unbelievable.

(When I said "obsessed" you perhaps thought I was kidding?  Silly Internet.)

Don't Stop

This song gives me goosebumps to begin with, and hearing it from a bunch of AWESOME groovin' acapella 5th graders makes it that much better.

I am now obsessed with the PS-22 chorus.  (And the adorable inspirational director.  That has to be the greatest job ever, no?)

(Thanks Jaya!)

Goosebump-inducing...

...to realize that that music is coming from the mouths of those little kiddies.

{thanks Jenny! via Perez}

Um. Freaking adorable.

Hammer Pants

There is nothing.  I repeat.  NOTHING.  Better than "spontaneous" group dances in public places.  I get goosebumps every time.

"Your love glass is half full"

Paper Heart.  Romantic comedy "documentary" follows the adventures of a girl who doesn't believe in love.  Incredibly adorable.  Sundance winner.  Cast includes Michael Cera and Seth Rogen.  Cannot wait.

Stunning Choreography

And a beautiful dancer.

Who happens to only be, you know, 15.

Oy. Makes me feel old.

Postman rescues baby otter from country road

When Jared demanded that I give him an otter for his birthday, I think it's safe to say that I thought that law school had finally succeeded in demolishing all of his remaining brain cells responsible for things like, say, sanity.

Then I watched this video, and I would like to publicly announce that I will gladly take in any stray otters that you might find in a country road.

That is all.

Alvin Ailey

I watched the documentary "Beyond the Steps" last night and was completely and utterly blown away by the incredible indescribable talent of Alvin Ailey.  I took class at their GORGEOUS studios for a year, but somehow never managed to see them perform.  What a mistake.  They are breathtaking.  And my quads hurt just watching.
