I didn't think it was really possible to have a Dream Pantry
but then you see it
and you realize there is in fact such thing as a Dream Pantry
and this right here
is it.
I mean look at those freaking glass jars.
All exposed and tantalizing and decoration in and of themselves.
Emersonmade also pretty much has my entire dream kitchen.
Open white shelving and all.
Pox on them.

Love the see thru shelving unit that also acts as a divider between kitchen and eating area.
Love the open shelf above the sink.
Love the low 3-tiered chandelier - reminds me of the 5-pack
Love the simple green flowers on the table and complimentary jar of limes on the counter.

Oh goodness.
There are too many marvelous things about this kitchen to even BEGIN to annunciate.
But I'll try.
The hood over the stove.
(perfect for the smell-sensitive like myself who hate the lingering scent of ANY foodstuff)
The open shelving.
The sleek, streamlined table.
The pop of pink flowers.
The white. The white. The white!

Perfect Little Apartment

I'm more and more intrigued lately with maximizing small spaces.
When you think about it, how much of your home do you actually use anyway?
So much wasted space.
I think I'm just getting increasingly fed up with all the Crazies on HGTV who find everything too small... too small... always too small.
If I hear one more person complain about the "small" master bathroom - which could easily function as another bedroom - I'm going to scream.
Do you really need 3700 square feet for two people and an infant?
I think not.

Whatever happened to less is more?

We have too much of everything here.
Obesity.  SUVs.  Homes.  Want want want.
Don't get me started...

Kitchen Envy

This Before and After blows my mind.

The most interesting part is that the Before - with the dark wood cabinets - i
s probably what a lot of people would consider a pretty decent, classic kitchen.
Of course, the mismatched appliances would have to go (and buyers would whine that they're not stainless steel), but otherwise, not totally horrendous.

But when you check out the After - there's just no comparison. Even the white "outdated" oven/stove looks perfect in the space.
Some paint and new fixtures on the bottom cabinets.
Chalkboard paint for the fridge.
Then those lovely open shelves.
My goodness it's just brilliant.

Here's Miss Pure Style Home's rundown on the updating process.
