My weekend

BALLOONS!

May 21, 2010

Oh goodness

Seriously. How much do these adorable little tea things remind you of Be Our Guest from Beauty & The Beast? It's all I can think of...
And everything else is super cute too...

Look! T(r)ea cups! Little tree trunk legs!

And a purty coffee set.
And VERY clever "Left over" dishware that allows your food to create a pattern throughout the meal.

Love is Blind Vase

The innocent little cyclamen plant that I desperately tried to keep alive at work has finally met a sad and disastrous end. When I got to my cubicle this morning it was a withered brown shell of it’s former self. Alas. Perhaps I should stick with cut flowers in pretty vases from now on.
And that damned Supermarket has lots of lovely vases.

Loads of lovely things.

Damn them.

For the Love is Blind Vase Jessica Marie Lertvilai collected love letters, transcribed them into Braille, and then transferred them in relief pattern onto the surface of the vase. Aka – wow.

Also love the Crocus Vase by Kim Westad.

Bobble

I love my Siggs, and get tons of compliments on my Kor (it's pretty, but sometimes leaks, and my nose always hits the mouthpiece when I'm drinking), but this Bobble has an added perk - it has a built in filter, so you can fill it with tap water wherever you are.
Brilliant.

Origami Pendants

Origami extraordinaire Cindy Ng fashions each unique pendant or earring from a single sheet of 99.9% pure silver, using the same techniques as traditional paper folding.
A bunny.
A fortune cookie.
A fishie.

Flower Shelves

The sweet little flowering plant someone gave me for my birthday 2 weeks ago is already very very dead, but I'd like to blame the flourescent lights in my office for that.

Perhaps I could coax a single flower or two in a glass tube in a wooden shelf to survive instead?

Also LOVE the hanging test tube vase.

Toast Soap

I spotted Soapopotamus' Strawberry Jam Goats Milk Soap bar over on Seesaw Designs. The jam has real strawberry seeds and the bread is creamy goat's milk soap that smells like freshly baked bread.

Then I spent a good five minutes staring at her Etsy shop confirming that these were in fact soaps - not delicious looking snacks. Other options? Rice Krispie soaps, frosted donuts, cinnamon rolls, sunny side up eggs

Snowball Fight in Times Square - 1am

Doesn't it make you want to move to NYC? Like. Now?
(if only it was all impromptu snowball fights, and none of the times square van bomb scares)

For flowers...

Oh yes.
I'd also like one (or five) of these recycled glass vases please.
Recycled beach glass!
De Espana!
(wouldn't it look lovely as a centerpiece. perhaps at a fiesta. celebrating nuptials?)

Stocking Stuffers

Spotted these goodies on Daily Candy's thrifty secret Santa gift guide this morning. The porcelain ice cream cones by Virginia Sin and the stainless steel straws by Brook Farm General Store are too cute for words (and "green" too!).

Wouldn't you love to pull one of these cuties out of your stocking?

Want

Darn you Anne...

PS - I super love her hair.  That's what I pretend my hair looks like... it's almost the same as my current cut... except mine is not dark and dramatic.  It is also much too stubbornly wavy to be anything close to straight and chic.

PPS - Apparently I have loved the Yoko dress for quite some time...

Emma Bridgewater

I feel like I've posted Emma Bridgewater's adorable mugs before, but now I can't find it.
Oh well.
Perhaps it was imagined.
Regardless, I love her fun products - they'd perk up any dreary chilly morning!
