You know what's nice about those bookshelves? They actually have books on them. Not the vases and sculptures and bowls and whatever the heck else that designers usually put on shelves.
It's a not-too-recent culture, eschewing books, y'know. People have been trying to get rid of them for centuries, and, believe it or not, there seems to be a revival.

Ooo so jealous. Its my DREAM to have a library with floor to ceiling bookshelves - preferably filled with books . . . and a ladder mmmmm bliss!!
