A Few Things

1.  You really better be listening to these guys by now.  If not you are truly MISSING OUT.  I'm bopping like a fiend in my chair as we speak.  I really am.  If you saw me you'd laugh.  Seriously though.  I'm not joking.  Go here.  Click "Ashes Ashes."  Crank volume.  Bop.

2.  I also hope you've ponied up the measly $1.99 and downloaded your copy of Mankind Mag!  Don't you want to read my newsy blurbs?  I promise they're totally fun and snappy and worth two bucks.  And even if you don't want to read my quippy roundup, you should still expose yourself to the rest of the mag's marvelousness!

3.  I worked again today!  I KNOW!  I am so on a roll.  A few observations about office life that came flooding back to me:
  • I can never ever in no way no how ever pack enough food to tide me over for a whole day.  I thought I was doing well.  I was feeling relatively sated.  Then I got in the car to drive home.  And I almost ate my arm.
  • The space between 2 - 4 p.m. is the longest block of time in the history of the world.  Truly.  Time just stands still for those hours.  And by "stands still" I mean "creates misery."
  • The 2 - 4 p.m. time period is also the point in the day in which I realize my rump has gone numb.  That's always a fun little discovery.
  • Did I mention I hate driving?  At rush hour?  In traffic?  At night?  With evil rained-on mirror roads?
4.  Still bopping.  Just saying.

5.  I'm craving chocolate like nobodies business.  And it's not even PMS time.  Don't worry though.  Almost dessert time!

It is now time to unplug my eyes from the computer screen.  Have a happy night and sweet dreams!

Favorite snack -- boxes of raisins. Nice tie back to elementary school lunches and a good way to get some extra fruit.

OK- seriously you need a more demanding job - then you look up at 3pm and say s....- there is only an hour left they are paying me and I have 10+ hours of work today. the day flies by so fast you feel like you live in a centrifuge--and the office looks like a cyclone hit the paper mill.

As to the snack issue--when commuting by car you must ALWAYS have an emergency snack in the car.
Peanut butter crackers are a good choice- some protein and some carbs.

And no, you can never get enough chocolate!
