2011 Goal: More cooking

How beautiful is my greek orzo salad?

One of my big 2011/newlywed/life goals is to do more cooking and ahead-of-time-planning to enable said cooking.
Because I really love me some delicious, diverse, daily meals.
But I do not so much love me some time-consuming-cooking.

On Sunday afternoon I made a giant vat of greek orzo salad for the week.
Greek because that is all I want to eat 24/7 for eternity.
Truly.
Would be very happy to be permanently slathered in feta and hummus and peta and olives.
Oh yes.
This salad: orzo. cucumbers. kalamata olives. capers (what a delightful little berry). feta. some olive oil and red wine vinegar and lemon juice. and this morning's last minute and critically important addition of roasted red peppers.

deeelightful.

It looks just gorgeous. I had a bad run-in with orzo once; I'm not sure if we're ready to be friends with, but I think I'm going to try.

Happy Cooking, my dear!
