Pout

This is the kind of thing that makes me feel very old and unaccomplished.

Kind of makes you wonder if it's worth bothering, doesn't it? ;)

Who does this kid think he is? I'm more than twice his age, and I don't know how to talk to girls. Apparently, I got started way too late. I don't think I'll buy his book. I already have one on the topic.
Everything Men Know About Women

I don't know about you, but I found that article highly amusing. The idea of a 9 year old being an expert on anything just tickles me pink.

Sure, he's written a book that's selling like hot cakes, but he's only 9. He's still got a lot to learn. Maybe some day he'll write a book with better advice then combing your hair and wearing decent clothes. Oh, and keeping your standards low to avoid rejection.

Don't pout, Kathy. He'll get his. Just remember - he still has to go through puberty. And highschool. You're done will all that. You win!

i stopped reading after this:

"It is easy to spot pretty girls because they have big earrings, fancy dresses and all the jewelry," he writes in Chapter Three.

sadly, most guys never stop thinking that this is what beauty is... thanks to the media and now, 9-year-old authors. haha!

My favorite:

"If I say hi and you say hi back, we're probably off to a good start," he said.

Why do I need a 9-year-old to remind me to keep things simple? Sigh...

Loving your blog! I was just emailing Chuck that the first time I visited, I got lost (in the good, wandering around, taking it all in kind of way) looking at all the old posts. Lots of fun!

Cheers.

This kind of thing infuriates me! The fact that mysoginy is alive and well in the upcoming generation just about drives me to drink. We work and work and work to change perceptions of women, and when I see something like this, it makes me wonder why I even try.

Ay yi yi, a 9 year old giving dating advice. I've always kind of hoped my 10 year old won't figure out what dating *is* until she is 15 or 20 or so...
