Bear

Well. Apparently there was a bear scampering around my town yesterday.

My small little suburban town that is a pretty serious commuting hub and completely enclosed by many many large roadways. Like the Parkway. And the Turnpike. And 287. And Route 1. And Route 27.

In fact, little bear was scampering ACROSS Route 27.

Then was meandering ACROSS THE STREET from my apartment.

And then it perched in a tree for a little while... a mere block away.

And then at 9pm decided it'd had enough and came down and ran back to the Dismal Swamp from whence it came.
(seriously. it's called the Dismal Swamp. it sounds like it should be a part of the Candyland board game.)
